No, you don't. Simply book an appointment with Arzu.

Payment is taken at the time of booking. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellation or change of appointment.  This is so that Arzu can allocate someone else to your appointment time. Therefore, full fees apply if cancellation is after the 24 hours notice period.

Registered counsellors are not currently able to offer the Mental Health Care Plan rebate. Please check with your private health insurer for other rebates.

Regrettably, the Mental Health Care Plan does not encompass Couples Therapy, therefore, payment for such services would be required out of pocket.

When looking at therapists in private practice, pricing can really vary according to several different individual factors.

Arzu charges $120 for individual counselling for a standard 50-minute session and $160 for couple counselling for a standard 60-minute session.

How many counselling sessions you should have will vary hugely according to the individual and your therapist will consult with you on how many sessions you may need. 

As a rule of thumb, meaningful life changes and genuine progress don’t occur within one 50-minute session, so think long term about how counselling can help dig into long-held life patterns and situations.

Forming a positive relationship with your therapist, feeling ready for change yourself and feeling confident in your therapist’s skillset will maximise how much you can get out of sessions.
